Claude Guénard is a French artist born in Mayenne in 1949. After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he moved to Africa where he worked and taught for more than twenty years. Back in France in 1993, he lives and works in the Paris region. Claude Guénard’s work is joyful, playful, sensual, inventive and unbridled.

Claude Guenard was born in 1949 in France. He is a painter, engraver, sculptor. He graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Passionate about everything he undertakes, this artist lives several lives in one. He paced the boxing rings, trampled the tatami mats, hunted in the bush and taught in Arts Schools in Africa and France, and then was commissioned to the National Education for the creation of cultural events. Nicknamed the “Cultural Mercenary”, he now devotes himself entirely to his artistic activity with an international career and recent exhibitions in Paris, New York and Miami.
